First off, the author does not know that I am posting this, nor am I receiving any money for posting this.I have many years working in various fields of in information services. I needed to acquire this certification, so I chose Mr. Emmet Dulaney book. Mr. Dulaney writes extrodinary books and his material is always 100% on target with the domains and objective of each exam that CompTIA has. Over many years of teaching others, nationwide and worldwide.. I have recommend Mr. Emmet Dulaney's books to others. And when I need a base reference, in regards to the very large WAN that I work on and other systems and disciplines in "I.T.", his books are a very much appreciated addition to my library.I would also like to Thank the author, for his help and advice in regards to working with book publishers in the past. All in all, not too bad but watch out, there are issues and inconsistencies (errors) with how they define the OSI model which is quite troubling. Also, I found the index and glossary to be lacking on many occasions causing me to have to hunt for information. The fold out note cards are very disorganized and not near as good as the ones in the A+ book. Compared to the A+ plus version of this book, this one is inferior. Can't compare it to other books on the subject so meh, it gets 2.5 stars.
I purchased this book to study for exam but I can’t access any practice exams because it’s an ebook. You should be able to access.
While the book allows you access to online practice tests, the practice tests and study materials do not simulate the actual Network + Exam format. There were alot new concepts in network security and cloud computing( which is good for security + prep), but less performance based questions.
A really great book for the ones that want to brush up and for the beginners.
Easy to read. The practice tests are great. I wish there was more apps to use for studying.
Good material and exam tips without the fluff. Practice questions and exams were very useful. Wish they would have included more detailed information on the performance based questions. All in all, I passed my exam and will be sticking with examcram going forward. For those taking CompTIA’s training course, this book supplements the class well.
I'm glad I bought this book. I've been a fan of exam cram after it helped me pass my A+ exams with flying colors. This book has everything you need to pass the exam, from the "cheat sheet" in the front of the book, the review questions after each chapter, and a practice test in the back. I now feel confident to take this test and pass it. Tried Mike Meyers book at first, but he tends to go off topic a bit. This book really helps!!!
